Our Story

Welcome to Concordia Stables, where harmony, peace, and concurrency are not just words, but guiding principles. Our name, "Concordia," derives from Latin and embodies these ideals we deeply value. Founded by Kaitlyn McGarvey and Denise Balla, Concordia Stables represents a collaborative effort to create a nurturing environment for both horses and students. Prior to the closing of Honey Brook Stables which served as the farm campus for Horse Class, Kaitlyn was the head instructor and trainer and Denise was the farm manager. Joined by instructor Kristina Runyeon and trainer Allie Peck, our team is dedicated to fostering an atmosphere where everyone feels safe, supported, and welcomed. We believe in developing confident, educated, and attuned horsewomen and horsemen through clear and consistent horsemanship. Connection is at the heart of what we do, as we strive to cultivate positive, lifelong relationships within our stables. Whether you're an experienced rider or new to the saddle, Concordia Stables is your home for equine education and community.

It is our intention to conduct horse training where finding relaxation is prioritized, allowing each horse to feel safe and understood, enabling them to make meaningful progress. We aspire to be a hub of excellence in horsemanship, offering a comprehensive range of lessons, clinics, and intensive equestrian experiences. With a commitment to creating well-rounded equestrians, we aim to implement an extensive curriculum that empowers riders to advance confidently while fostering a deep understanding and respect for their equine partners. Our instructors seek to be dedicated to their own continuing education, ensuring we provide the highest quality instruction. We intend to cultivate an enriching environment where every student can reach their goals and become connected, competent, and confident equestrians.
